Just curious what is your favorite acoustic guitar?

My favorite is the Grand Auditorium Taylor Style.

Of course, It sounds better if it has a red spruce top and braces.

Indian Rosewood back and sides make a nice guitar.

My favorite is always the one I'm playing at the time. It helps a lot if it is an OM with a cedar top on rosewood.

I would probably say an OM with an adi top and brw back and sides.
I'm working on a small L-00 now though so this could change

The OO is my favorite body style. I usually tend to be more of a rosewood-ish kind of guy but I built a 12 fret recently with Honduran Mahogany /Lutz that was pretty special.

So far? A jumbo Taylor!

Wood type is not a specific concern. I like to think I haven't played my favorite yet! There are so many more to try!

Kind of impressed with the Carvin 980's though I'm pretty sure they're Korean knock-offs of the Taylor! Notwithstanding price, I would never buy one!

I haven't played too many small builder guitars(3) and the ones I have played I have not been impressed!

Played a Taylor Grand Symphony today.  The dealer laid a line on us about the cedar / Mahogany body one.  We preferred a Sitka / Rosewood one.  Nice guitar.

The Grand Auditorium is still my favorite shape right now.  The GA sounds great with Adi or Sitka.  I've built with both and it's a winning shape and size.

Grand A or Dred for me. My first real acoustic was a Taylor Dred. Gave it away to my neice, missed it badly.

Bought two Martins trying to ease the pain. Sold both and got another Taylor Dred. Then sold it because I remembered I don't play.

I do love hearing folks play 'em though, and good guitars are an investment to me. They pay and they play.

Dreads are absolutely my favorite aqcoustic shape. The best one I have ever played or heard was a flamed oregon myrtle I just built and sold (comission). I have ordered 5 more sets of myrtle trying to duplicate the sound I got with that one.

What top did it have Ken?

I doubt it was the myrtle, think about the top?

Addy, Sitka, Lutz, cedar, englemann, what type bracing?

Dreads are hard to beat.
